Drawing projects can be lots of fun throughout the entire year, but what makes one especially great for summer? Well, when they connect with things that kids are doing, or thinking of doing, they can have a special meaning for them.
For instance, trips to the beach might create some special memories. A drawing could include who they went with, and what kind of things they did while there were there. There’s also the possibilities of holiday get togethers too. The 4th of July, and Father’s Day, and lots of graduation celebrations happen all over the country every summer. Who wouldn’t want to get a special handmade card to mark any one of those occasions?
Mostly though, summer is a good time for everyone to slow down and be creative just because. Drawing projects don’t have to be connected to studies, or be super educational. They can be pursued just for their own sake, and because they are fun to draw, which is a great way to spend those long lazy days of summer!
