You can choose the option of taping it together first, and then coloring, or coloring and then taping. Using a glue stick to attach the sheets to a larger sheet of paper works too. This sample mural was colored with crayons, but oil pastels would work too. The colors are always nice and bright with pastels, they just tend to smudge a bit more. This should not be a problem if done in an art room, but if the coloring happens at home, then the crayons or markers would probably be a better option.
